Handpicked this week: August 15

As you can imagine, I spend lots of time looking for inspiration each week and I find it all over the place... driving around Massachusetts and Rhode Island, on Instagram and Pinterest, on Zillow. And I'm still a huge fan of the old-fashioned magazine.

In this weekly newsletter, I'm going to share my top picks (or saves) for the week. Things that really inspired me and stuck in my brain, and that I hope will inspire YOU on your home journey.

Each week I'll share an interior, a real estate listing and a style item that I think are especially noteworthy. I'd love to know what you think about them too!

1] Handpicked: INTERIOR

I have been noticing a trend away from clean and tailored to interiors infused with old world details. I have been working on a client's home in Newton, and she is all about patina and a home that feels like it has history and yet is still modern. Plastered walls, textured tile, exposed plumbing - all elements found in this of-the-moment style. This interior, by Arianna De Gasperis, brings together all those elements - salvaged architectural details, plastering and the swoonworthy hardware and plumbing fixtures. Check out her kitchen below:

2) Handpicked: REAL ESTATE

I work mostly in the Boston area, but over the past 9 months my crew has been in Little Compton, Rhode Island. An extraordinarly special spot, it is an old farm town with rolling pastures, grazing cows, charming farmstands and crumbling stone walls that touch the ocean. Cherry Arnold listed this beauty this week, and it's all about the breathtaking landscaping - meandering gravel paths, the tailored pool and the secret artist cottage - that compliment the shingle style home.

3) Handpicked: STYLE

One of my favorite interior designers, Sarah Sherman Samuel, whom I follow on Instagram, wore this adorable dress by @daughtersofindia. It is the Chaaya Maxi Dress in Chai, and I knew it would be perfect for the height of a humid and hot New England summer. It is eminently flattering and the fullness of the bottom is very romantic (it trails down the stairs too which feels very Bridgerton to me). And it looks like you made an effort even if you barely leave the house still.

I hope you love these handpicked favorites! Have a great weekend and I'll chat with you next week!
