Handpicked this week - March 5

Welcome to my Handpicked by Milk and Honey Group newsletter. For new subscribers, in this weekly newsletter, I share my top picks for the week - trends or particularly noteworthy designs. Each week I share an interior, a real estate listing, and a style item that I think are special. I hope you'll let me know what you think!

1] Handpicked: INTERIOR

Three Birds Renovations is one of my all-time favorite resources for inspiration, especially for beach houses. Based in Sydney and the NSW North Coast, their style is refreshing, inventive, and cutting edge (in a relaxed and comfortable way however!). I love their blurring of the indoor and outdoor spaces, their use of texture and pops of color, and the sculptural quality of so many of their spaces and furnishings. I cannot believe I haven't featured them before this! For those interested in a DIY approach too, they offer Styling AND Reno School (although the resources you get access to are based in Australia, so it's a toss-up on the value).

What do you think? Do you find them as inspiring as I do?

2) Handpicked: REAL ESTATE

Located in Lincoln, this historic Mid-Century modern home was designed by Arthur Brooke, one of the original architectural collaborators of Brown's Wood, a Utopian community experiment created in the 1950s based on the book Walden Two by psychologist BF Skinner. Families in this MIT community sought to build affordable housing close to Boston and Cambridge based on their shared values.

This house has deeded rights and access to the Valley Pond Swim and Boat Club and is a dreamy Mid-Century gem just waiting for a refresh!

3) Handpicked: STYLE

Continuing my "Down Under" theme, this week I wanted to introduce you to Claire Ritchie Art. When you're designing a home with a lot of light and bright architecture (and even more white paint), pops of color are a must. I love that Claire is an artist who translates her paintings into textiles and home goods as well, and that her work draws inspiration from the natural, sun-soaked world.

With references to Matisse and cut-paper art, Claire's work is an affordable way to add color and brightness to your space.

That's all from our team this week - can't wait until next week!
