Handpicked this week - June 11

Welcome to my Handpicked by Milk and Honey Group newsletter. For new subscribers, in this weekly newsletter I share my top picks for the week - trends or particularly noteworthy design. Each week I share an interior, a real estate listing and a style item that I think are special. I hope you'll let me know what you think!

1] Handpicked: INTERIOR

Based in Toronto, the interior design shop Studio Author is just WOW. I mean, look at the first image - vibrant mustard juxtaposed with organic and ebullient lavender. INCREDIBLE. Studio Author is all about layering, rich textures and visceral pops of color.

Even their neutrals are saturated - how is that possible? I would love to know what YOU think.

2) Handpicked: REAL ESTATE

I have always had my eye on this property on Mount Auburn Street. I drive by it at least twice a day on the way to school pick-up/drop off/theater/rowing, and I just love the stark lines combined with sweet architectural details. When it came on the market, all that made sense - it used to be an old railroad depot in Watertown and was moved to its current location.

Right across the street from the Charles River and within walking distance to Harvard Square, this is a must see!

3) Handpicked: STYLE

I recently found Twine and Twig and I'm in love. A mash up of global influence and vacation-ready style, their chunky beads and gorgeous shells are perfect to match up with simple tailored shirts, black or white tees and tailored jeans.

I absolutely love the pieces with cowrie shells (also favorites in Ethiopia, my girls' homeland...) Which piece do you want to bring home?

That's all from our team this week - can't wait until next week!
