I recently discovered Toronto designer Alison Milne and am in love. Her spaces are light and airy but do not read beachy or coastal. She also includes weathered and historic architectural elements (reclaimed beams) and gorgeous, contemporary millwork to create a modern look that is so refreshing!
The interplay of light and stone and wood… stunning! What do you think?
2) Handpicked: REAL ESTATE
This mid century modern in Lexington is a treasure just waiting to be restored. The vaulted ceiling, vista-framing windows and floating stairs are an inspiring jumping off point for this home’s next chapter. And the yard…
I would love to see oak or sage-green millwork and some oversized penny tile… Who’s in?
3) Handpicked: STYLE
I found the collection Marea recently and immediately purchased the Carry-All (now sold out).
But I'm loving all the dresses and tunics they offer too. I'm a sucker for an Indian block print! Breezy and colorful, they're inspired by global travel and the essence of wanderlust. Of course I love them for the summer - throw them on after an evening swim and you're ready for sunsets and aperol spritzes.
