1] Handpicked: INTERIOR
Inspired by Little Compton and vacation, I found this incredible resort in Australia - Five Acres - that is also a farm by the sea. The architecture is amazing - modern and textural (all that natural wood!) but perfectly in harmony with the surroundings. Take a look at their Instagram to get more ideas - the outdoor bath!
Luxury and boutique hotels are always a great jumping off point for a renovation because they're stripped down to the elements that define relaxation with a focused aesthetic (coastal, glam, city, etc.).
Where is your favorite destination? What's your favorite hotel/resort/Airbnb? Think about those elements next time you're traveling, take lots of photos and then refer back to them when you're looking to refresh!
2) Handpicked: REAL ESTATE
A very dear friend almost purchased this incredible property before it came on the market, so I've had the privilege of drooling over it for a few months already. In the center of Little Compton, it was built in two phases (starting in 1825) and is a blend of Federalist and Greek Revival architectural styles. And the price!!!!!
The stairs. The floors. The beams! It's just waiting for its next steward.
Bike to the beaches, walk across the street to the general store and the library... this is a must-see!
3) Handpicked: STYLE
So many clients are in a British state of mind right now... it's all that granny chic coming back with contemporary flair! The designer Ottoline is actually Dutch, but based in London, and offers a full line of wallpaper and textiles. But the borders may be my favorite... such a fun way to add interest without a full field of pattern!
This paper - Madame Ziggle - is available in multiple colorways and is probably my favorite from the collection!
