Handpicked this week - April 14

Welcome to my Handpicked by Milk and Honey Group newsletter. For new subscribers, in this weekly newsletter, I share my top picks for the week - trends or particularly noteworthy designs. Each week I share an interior, a real estate listing, and a style item that I think is special. I hope you'll let me know what you think!

1] Handpicked: INTERIOR

I really, really miss print magazines. I still subscribe to a handful - Architectural Digest and Living Etc mostly - but I am really nostalgic about the days when I would drop everything to curl up with the latest Martha Stewart Living and savor every page. Hunter and Folk is an online Australian design journal that covers homes, architecture, interviews with creatives, art and culture, travel, food, products. Of course, my favorite parts are all the amazing shots of Australian interior design.

So much to explore! Australia also seems to be on the cutting edge of comfortable yet inspiring interior design so I definitely recommend subscribing to their newsletter or giving their IG a follow!

2) Handpicked: REAL ESTATE

This gorgeous home in Newton (with a recent price cut) was built in the 1880s and has so many exquisite architectural details! There is copious paneling and elaborate molding throughout the house that really give each room tremendous visual interest. When this house was built there was such attention to detail - panels line up with custom doors... it's truly a stunner.

It looks like it has some water damage and will definitely need a new kitchen and baths, but with this enormous lot in the middle of Waban, it's definitely a worthwhile investment.

3) Handpicked: STYLE

I have no idea how I found TIMOTHÉE DAMAS' art gallery, but I absolutely adore his curated selection of globally influenced photography. I love a neutral home with bold pops of color in art and accents (mirrors especially). For the size and quality of the prints, these are a good price point and can make a huge impact in a space.

That's all from our team this week - can't wait until next week!
