1] Handpicked: INTERIOR
I admit it. I have an alert on my Instagram for when Chango and Co posts. That's how much I admire their work. Probably more than anything, I love that they're fearless about combining high and low. Light fixtures and bedding from retail staples like West Elm or Crate and Barrel. And then outrageous gorgeous custom upholstery (just check the built in bench/bed below), furniture and architectural details.
If you're going to follow one interior design and architecture firm on Instagram (besides us of course), follow them. They're worth it and I promise they'll provide even the most social media weary eyes some inspiration!
2) Handpicked: REAL ESTATE
This house in Concord is amazing and also deeply troubling at the same time. Owned in the same family since the 1890s, it was apparently featured in This Old House. However it's unclear in what decade that happened since this gorgeous home has been seriously neglected. This is my favorite kind of house to revitalize however, because you are literally saving its bones from the dumpster.
So much beautiful woodwork and architectural details to save! And also, likely so much infrastructure (electrical, plumbing and HVAC) to replace. Who's in for a major project? Don't forget to check out our Pinterest Board on barns for inspiration on this post and beam treasure!
3) Handpicked: STYLE
I literally never have enough bags. Especially oversized totes that I can use in the summer. Woven pieces are always a favorite, often because when I travel there is an indigenous technique for producing handbags that woos me! Jamaica, Ethiopia, Kenya, Hawaii, Bali, the Bahamas, Rwanda... I cannot get enough.
Designed in Brooklyn, Bembien is another one for the roster. I am obsessed with their bag (shown below) "Le Traveler." Yes please!
Some of their woven pieces have a vintage Bottega Veneta vibe which I love. Which one is your favorite?
